you know what! im tired of people telling my im crazy for paying $70 on a pair of sandals. i work 2 part time jobs and go to school full time. i work hard for the money i get so i should spend it on whatever the fuck i want to. even if i do blow it on $70, $80 slip on sandals or jeans.

Hey everyone. My hair is sort of wavey and it gets really frizzy. I just got it highlighted blonde and my hair dresser had my hair poker straight and I have no idea how she did it cuz I can never get it to be like that. I even just went out and bought this stuff thats supposed to work but it doesn't seem to be working. Anyone know how I could get it REALLY straight? I'm tired of looking like crap.

hey hey,
I'm new here and not too sure where to start but lets start by the good old self introduction.
My name is Amal and I'm from New Zealand, im 18 and have just recently moved cities to Auckland so I could attend Auckland University... I'm on a student loan, I'm paying flat rent BUT the funny thing is, I spend 80% of my weekly loan on fashion.. fashion designer clothing.. Ooo god I should stop talking for now...

Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone here has had experience with hair extensions? The 100% human full head ones...

Er... I was browsing through the some of the new Fall 03 slides from the Paris show, and is it just me, or are the men becoming more and more effeminate in their dress-sense?

I mean, even if it's not the gaudy colors above, the new 60s suit-pants are sooo damn narrow. I'd never wear them! I think men's pants are better if broad or tapered-at-bottom.

I bought a TeenVouge today (only $1.50!) and somebody wrote a letter to the editor saying how happy she was that this magazine didn't feature little advice columns and embarassing moments. So I ask you all, do you like those in your fashion mags or do you just want pure unadulterated fashion news? What about those little 'dress like' sections that tell you how to dress like [insert noun]?

I'm putting this in black because I want your opinion and I don't want to influence you. Just highlight to read when you've got your own already. :)

I mock those who write for advice. There's dear abby and good friends. My friends and i used to read them and the embarassing moments in highly dramatic styles for entertainment. I'm cruel like that.

I also hate how they tell you where and for how much you can buy a 'look like' article of clothing or accessary. There's nothing wrong with wanting to dress like your favourite celebrity, from your favourite time period/movie/show/band, fashion designer of the season but I think part of the joy in shopping and dressing is finding these things for yourself. If it's really in fashion then you can find it at Walmart, trust me. Or you can take your magazine along for a fun-filled day of shopping. x)
